As a new member of the Future Medical Research Investigators executive board during the fall of 2006, I was tasked with creating a new website for fMRI that would offer a more visually appealing interface and several additional features, including an online list of summer research opportunities that the organization would compile. The old fMRI site was several years old and disorganized, which the society felt detracted from the usability of the site and deterred members from accessing it online.

I worked with the leadership of the organization in creating a new, clean interface for the website, plus an online research opportunities database that allowed for easy addition and modification of summer research programs. The interface featured the organization's name and logo in prominent positions and provided easily accessible information about meetings, events, and MD/PhD combined degree programs in general.
