The Engineering Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program was an attempt to increase undergraduate awareness of the possibility of conducting research during their four years at UIUC. Spearheaded by the Academic Programs Committee in Engineering Council, its major incarnation was a website that allowed professors to post research opportunities for students to search through and, if interested, apply for.

I created a site during the spring of 2006 based on the University of Illinois campus login system, Bluestem, that allowed professors and students to sign on, the former able to post research opportunities with details, dates, and other information and the latter able to search these opportunites based on major. The website featured a professional interface, featuring boldly on the front page the idea of undergraduate research, with two very visible boxes geared towards professors and students.
